The Nilgiri Kantha Blanket
Hand stitched. Two sides, two lives.
Named for the Mountains of South India, the Nilgiri is a substantial piece — that earns its place in a room.
An extensive amount of hand stitching gives it a quilted density that holds its shape whether draped, folded, or laid flat.
One side: deep forest green and warm red — grounded, botanical, quietly confident.
Turn it and everything changes.
The reverse runs black, white, and red with random patches of soft green breaking through — unpredictable.
Stiff enough to serve as an upholstered headboard or a picnic blanket.
Handsome enough to lie flat as a rug or drape a sofa.
Beautiful enough to simply be seen.
